Washington, D.C. – The Embassy of Saint Kitts and Nevis was honoured to join the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office (TECRO) in Washington, D.C. for its National Day Reception, held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the historic Twin Oaks Estate.
Representative Alexander Tah-ray Yui, Head of TECRO in the United States, expressed his delight and appreciation for the partnership with Saint Kitts and Nevis. His Excellency underscored Ambassador Jacinth Henry-Martin’s generosity in bringing “the famous Champion Steel Pan Band” as well as “this wonderful rum from Saint Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean.” In a post shared on X (@Taiwan_in_US), they remarked that these contributions “not only boosted the joyful vibe but also highlighted our friendship with both countries.”
Brinley Gold Shipwreck Rum generously contributed an assortment of their signature rums in a variety of flavours, which proved to be a crowd favourite and was warmly enjoyed by attendees.
Ambassador Jacinth Henry-Martin emphasised the importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening ties between Saint Kitts and Nevis and Taiwan, noting that the performance symbolised the friendship and shared values between the two nations.
