BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, July 2, 2026 — Five promising young cricketers from St. Kitts have departed for Antigua to join their Leeward Islands counterparts as they compete for selection to the provisional Leeward Islands Tropical Wave squad ahead of the Cricket West Indies Rising Stars Under-19 50-Over Championship, scheduled for July 9–23, 2026.

The St. Kitts representatives—Kunal Tilokani, Eirette Richards, Jaheem Clarke, Lawshorn Bergan, and Kasim Challenger—earned their places following impressive performances during the recent player observation matches.

The training and selection camp in Antigua will determine the provisional Leeward Islands Tropical Wave squad that will compete in the regional championship, providing the young players with an opportunity to showcase their talent against the best emerging cricketers in the region.

In extending its congratulations, the St. Kitts Cricket Association commended the players on their achievement and wished them success during the selection process.

“Congratulations to the players, their coaches, teammates, and families on this outstanding achievement. We wish the team safe travels, all the best in Antigua, and every success as they prepare for the championship,” the Association said.

Selection to the Leeward Islands Tropical Wave programme represents another important milestone in the development of the Federation’s young cricketers and underscores the continued strength of St. Kitts’ youth cricket programme.
