BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS — Newly appointed head coach of the St. Kitts and Nevis national under-20 football team, Bruno Kalonji, has wasted no time getting to work. With the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship** less than a week away, Coach Kalonji recently outlined his immediate priorities and long-term tactical vision for the squad.
Highly recommended and bringing a wealth of experience to the federation, Kalonji noted that his primary focus since taking the helm has been building group cohesion and improving physical conditioning.
“With the CONCACAF U-20 Championship coming up, the main priority was to bring the team together, get to know each other very well, and elevate the fitness level. That has been our focus. We worked on the players’ understanding of each other, developing a strong bond, and raising the overall fitness standard of the team,” he said.
Beyond the immediate preparations, Coach Kalonji also shared his long-term vision for the programme, which emphasises building a distinct team identity centred on an attractive and competitive style of play.
