BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS — Exciting action continued in the SKNFA Final Four Playoffs on Saturday, May 9, at the NBG Technical Centre, as Development Bank St. Peters and MFCR United Old Road Jets secured important victories in their respective encounters.

Development Bank St. Peters Defeat Honda Newtown United 4-0

After a scoreless first half, Development Bank St. Peters came alive in the second period to record an emphatic 4-0 victory over Honda Newtown United.

Kareme Simmonds opened the scoring in the 67th minute before Raheem Davis added a second in the 76th minute. Tyquan Terrell extended the advantage two minutes later, while Dionis Stephen sealed the victory with a goal in the 90th minute.

Yellow cards were issued to Jean Wolf Edouard (45+2’), Malachi Gumbs (80’), and Sylvester Caines (82’) of Newtown, along with Keleb Bridgewater (84’) and Rocco Browne (90+4’) of St. Peters.

Match officials for the encounter were Trevester Richards, Mario Parry, Lenroy Parris, and Jasmine Charles. Reserve officials were Stephan Smith and Latoya James, while Garfield Virgo served as Referee Assessor and Cameile Hendricks as Match Commissioner.

MFCR United Old Road Jets held off a late challenge from Azul Cayon Rockets to secure a thrilling 3-2 victory.

Tiquanny Williams starred for Old Road Jets with a superb first-half hat trick, scoring in the 13th, 18th, and 32nd minutes to give his team a commanding 3-1 halftime lead.

Cayon Rockets responded through a penalty conversion from Mervin Lewis in the 43rd minute and a late strike by Rodgemique Hendricks in stoppage time (90+1’), but Old Road Jets managed to hold on for the win.

Yellow cards were shown to Evansroy Barnes of Cayon Rockets in the 47th minute and Jestin Henry of Old Road Jets in the 73rd and 90+5 minutes. Henry was subsequently sent off after receiving his second caution.

Match officials included Orlando Mitchum, Jaden Rouse, Makeyla Audain, and Sanchez Bass. Reserve officials were Michael Hendrickson and Joash Walters. Gizelle Rawlins served as Referee Assessor, while Jason Mc Koy was Match Commissioner.

The Final Four Playoffs continue as teams battle for a place in the championship final.
