The Elizabeth Pemberton Primary School, held its annual sports meet on Tuesday 27th February at the FLATS in Cole Hill.

Despite the fact that the appointed patron was a no show, the children of the zone B Interprimary champions, excelled on the track and served to entertain the huge crowd on hand.

The athletes featured in the 400; 800; 1200; 200; 100; 4X100; 4X400; 60 meters races and there were also the hurdles and some fun events.

During the course of the afternoon, Green house and Gold house had a close running battle and the lead was interchanged at varying intervals, between them.

However, when the final 4X400 meters race was concluded and the points were tabulated, Gold house edged out Green, by a mere three points. It was as close as that!
