GOVERNOR-GENERAL ATTENDS OFFICIAL CELEBRATIONS TO MARK HER MAJESTY’S 90TH BIRTHDAY; H.E. MICHAEL MORTON DEPUTIZES

Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 06, 2016 (SKNIS): His Excellency the Governor-General Sir Tapley Seaton is presently in London, England, at the invitation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second to attend official celebrations to mark Her Majesty’s 90th birthday.

Some of these activities include a church service at St. Paul’s Cathedral followed by a private luncheon for Governors-General at Buckingham Palace on 10th June and Trooping the Colour on 11th June, 2016.

During the short absence abroad of the Governor-General, His Excellency Mr. D. Michael Morton, J.P. will perform the duties of Governor-General.

Her Majesty was born on the 21st April, 1926 and has reigned as Queen since 1952.
