The St. Thomas’ Primary School, held its annual sports meet on Wednesday 6th March, under the distinguished patronage of former teacher at the school and former sports master, Mr. Rohan Isles.
The meet was held on the school’s grounds and attracted a huge crowd.
The athletes saluted the patron very smartly during the march past and later received words of encouragement from him.
They then competed in the 400; 800; 200; 1200; 100; 4X100 and 4X400 meters events.
There were also some sprint races over a distance of 80 meters.
Despite occasional rain breaks, the scores of spectators were treated to a fantastic display of talent, as the athletes gave it their all.
At the end of the day, the growing trend for this year continued, as Green house was the runaway champion.
