Director of Sports on Nevis, Mr. Jamir Claxton, has confirmed that the much anticipated local T-20 franchise Cricket league, is set to be officially launched, today Thursday 8th February.
The league which will be coordinated by the Sports Department, will see Nevis’ finest young cricketers on show.
Apparently, the senior cricketers have been nicely mixed with some of the outstanding junior cricketers on the island, to form several franchise teams, which lends itself to the promise of an exciting and competitive tournament.
The launch will take place today, at Villa number 2 of the Paradise Beach hotel.
It is anticipated that the teams and sponsors will be revealed at the ceremony.
