Ministry of Education Invites Applications for Teaching Positions for 2026–2027 School Year

The Ministry of Education in St. Kitts is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals interested in teaching positions for the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year.

Interested applicants are asked to note the following requirements and guidelines:

Individuals wishing to teach at the Early Childhood or Primary level must possess at least five CSEC subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, a Social Science subject (History, Social Studies, or Geography), and a Natural Science subject (Biology, Integrated Science, etc.).
Individuals seeking to teach at the Secondary level must possess at least five CSEC subjects, including English Language, as well as the relevant advanced passes (CAPE, A-Level, or higher) in the subject areas they intend to teach.
All shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a Pre-Service Seminar/Workshop scheduled from Wednesday, June 17 to Thursday, June 25, 2026. The location will be announced at a later date.
Prospective teachers invited to the Pre-Service Seminar will also be required to complete an assessment in literacy and numeracy.
Application forms can be collected from either of the following locations:
Department of Education Services, Airport Road, Basseterre
Ministry of Education Administrative Office, 3rd Floor, The Cable Building, Cayon Street, Basseterre
Completed application packages must be returned to either location no later than Friday, May 22, 2026.
