The operation commenced at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport and ended with the arrest of three (3) persons at a residence in Buckley’s Site.

A Search Warrant was executed on the premises for possession of controlled drugs, firearms and ammunition. During the search, 1.22 kilos of Cocaine was discovered in a false compartment within a suitcase. “The success of tonight’s operation underscores the benefits of collaborative efforts. The law enforcement teams came together, and we have taken more drugs from the streets,” said the Head of the Anti-Narcotic Unit.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr. Ian Queeley noted “the success of the anti-drug efforts of recent weeks is not by accident, it is a result of vigilance on behalf of our teams, the Anti- Narcotic Unit, the SSU and other partners. We had a significant seizure in Nevis on Friday (November 13), the seizure of 1 kilo on the Bay Road and now tonight. He added, “this is what was intended when we designed the ‘Six Point Plan’, the strategy of collaboration.”

The ACP responsible for Crime added, “we are taking drugs from the streets, we are taking weapons from the streets, help us to take the violent criminals from our streets, we urge anyone with information that can assist the police in our fight against crime, to call any Police Station in the Federation or Crime Stoppers, our confidential hotline at 1-800-8477 to share information,” the information is critical to keeping St. Kitts and Nevis safe, he stressed.
