(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, along with the Fire and Rescue Services responded to a report of fire at the building that houses the Treasury Department, Inland Revenue and the Value Added Tax (VAT) offices in Charlestown.
Nevispages understands that the fire began sometime after 1:00 a.m. this morning Friday, January 17, 2014. Upon arrival, the fire team met the offices engulfed in flames.
The fire is currently under investigation by members of the Police and Fire Services.
As many stories circulate no one knows the possible cause of the fire. However, it is alleged that it may have been an electrical problem.
