NUFF TINGS BOYS’ CLUB THRILL AUDIENCE WITH PRE VALENTINE CONCERT

St. James-Nevis- Fountain Village was the spot to be on the afternoon of Sunday 11th February.

On that day, Ms. Christiana Smith and her NUFF TINGS Boys club, hosted a fund raising, pre-valentine concert.

The venue was the premises of the newly erected club house, situated at Fountain village.

It was a packed and exciting concert, which featured quite a number of ‘international’ artistes.

There were some wonderful renditions from the Boys’ club; Kirthly Morton; Meredith and Sylvia Hendrickson; Pinky Polius; the Jeffers brothers and company; Lorna Doras; Rovena Jeffers; Sencia Williams; Rudolph Jones and an extra scintillating performance by Mrs. Joan Powell.

Interspersed with the songs, were poems by Ashawn Webbe; Millicent Mills and Brother and Sister France.

There was also a solo on trumpet by the versatile Edwin and the Boys’ club also presented a skit, with the energetic leader of the group, Sister Christina herself, featuring as GRANNY.

A versatile band, comprising of some top local musicians, provided the back-up music.

Mr. Vaughn on keyboards; SNOWFLAKES on guitar and Virge Browne on saxophone were among the members of the band.

The Boys’ club also had food items on sale, as part of their fund raising efforts.

Members of the audience were also presented with pencils, complements of the club and Ms. Skeete also asked a few questions, which resulted in the lucky winners getting some top ups as prizes.
