PM Douglas hope for a St. Paul’s Football Club win on Wednesday

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, AUGUST 20TH 2013 (CUOPM) – St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas hopes that his S.L. Horsford St. Paul’s Football Club will defeat the Conaree Football Club in game two of the Finals in the 2013 St. Kitts and Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) Digicel Premier Division Championship tomorrow Wednesday 21st August.

Game two kick off at the Silver Jubilee Stadium at 8:00 P.M.

Conaree defeated St. Paul’s on penalty 4-1 after a scoreless 90 minutes and 30 minutes extra time.
Responding to the challenge from boxing icon and Conaree resident, Fighting Hunks during his weekly radio programme “Ask the Prime Minister,” Dr. Douglas congratulated Conaree “for the tremendous effort that it has put out, especially the football team for making Conaree proud in this year’s league.”

“It really pains me that Conaree is up against my own village, St. Pauls, because I would have really loved for them to win, but I am afraid my people are going to take it and they are going to take it, not Wednesday because they are going to equalize on Wednesday and then on the weekend, Saturday to be exact, it shall be taken,” said Dr. Douglas.

The Prime Minister told Hunks he will greet him at Wednesday’s game with a handkerchief.

“I am going to mop your tears because I really know that Conaree is waiting for this moment, but I cannot yet concede that Conaree will defeat St. Pauls,” said Prime Minister Douglas.
