Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 8, 2016 (RSCNPF): The Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) is currently investigating a shooting incident in Sandy Point that resulted in gunshot injuries to two persons.
The shooting occurred at around 6.30pm on Friday (July 08).
Initial investigations revealed that the victims were shot during an altercation on 42nd Street in Sandy Point. One victim received a gunshot injury to his left leg and the other a gunshot injury to his right leg. Both victims were taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital for treatment.
A .40mm pistol was found on the scene and was seized by police.
The investigation is ongoing.
