On Wednesday, 1st October, the organising committee of the National Bank-sponsored Primary Schools Football tournament, representing the Ministry of Education and Sports, held a press briefing at the Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park.
The session was ably chaired by Documentation and Communications Officer, Mrs Terenz Wallace-Warner.
Among those making presentations were the Bank’s representative, Saneldo Willet, a representative of the SKNFA, Director of Sports, Aljay Newton, and an Assistant. Secretary, Jamir Claxton and Nichola Fraser, Education Officer, who gave an overview of the tournament.
The tournament officially kicks off today at the ET Willet Park, with a brief opening ceremony, followed by matches involving all participating schools.
Matches will be played on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
The participating schools are: Charlestown Primary, Nevis Academy, Montessori, St. Thomas’ Primary, Ivor Walters Primary, Maude Cross Preparatory, VOJN Primary, St. James’ Primary and Elizabeth Pemberton Primary.
