Report of Arrests, convictions and other Activities.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 08, 2017, (RSCNPF):  Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period May 05-06,  2017.

 ARREST AND BAIL:  

Arrested:. O’shane Cabourne of Trafalgar Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on a warrant in the first instance f or the offence of battery committed on April 30, 2017.

Arrested: Estervan Lawrence of Upper Monkey Hill was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on two (2) Warrants in the First Instance for the offences of Larceny and Receiving committed on April 30, 2017.

Arrested/Bailed: Kendal Maynard alias “Kenny” of Parsons Ground was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to supply and cultivation of cannabis on May 05, 2017.  He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000.00 for his appearance at  District “B” Magistrate court on Monday July 03, 2017.

Arrested/Bailed: Gihron Williams alias Ridge of Shadwell Estate was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of possession of cannabis with intent to supply and cultivation of cannabis. Offences were committed on May 03, 2017.  He was granted bail in the sum of $15,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre police station on Monday, June 12, 2017.

Bailed:. Hans Tyson of Hull Ground was granted bail in the sum of $2000.00   for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on May 09, 2017.

 OTHER ACTIVITY: 

Robbery:  Police responded to a report of a robbery at  the Ocean Cold Storage on the Bay-Road.  The incident was reported about 4.40pm on Friday, May 05.  Initial investigations revealed that the establishment was robbed by  four armed persons.  The scene was processed by the Crime Scene Unit and the investigations continue.

Anti-Drug Efforts: A patrol conducted by the Anti-Drug Unit reported they discovered,  uprooted and seized,  ten thousand eight hundred (10,800) marijuana plants in the area of Parson’s Village.  The plants ranged in height from seedlings to ten feet.

Building Breaking: Police reported to a report of a Building Breaking on Victoria Road.   The V/C reported that he secured his office,  Contec Solution,  at about 2pm on Friday, and when he returned May 06, discovered the building broken into.  The scene was processed and the investigation continues.

Robbery:  Police responded to a reported robbery in St. Pauls and one in Buckley’s site.  The incidents occurred at about 9.00pm and 10.15pm respectively. An additional robbery was reported on Malone Avenue at 12.00 noon.

 Traffic Accidents: There were two (2) traffic accidents on the Federation’s roadways during the period of this report.

 Citizen Safety:  Officers of the Sandy Point Police Station conducted a community walk through in Sandy Point and visited the following areas Crab Hill, Farms Site, The Alley and Mount Idle. The officers interacted with residents and business owners, and shared crime safety tips.

Police continue to conduct Vehicle Check Points and Stop and Searches along the island main road on St. Kitts and Nevis.  A number of searches were conducted over the period of this report, and resulted in citations being issued to drivers not in compliance with tinting and other traffic regulations.

Officers continue to conduct searches of abandoned properties and lots. The execution of search warrants continue as well. These activities are being conducted in support of anti-crime objectives to remove illegal firearms and ammunition, illegal drugs and other instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities.
