Report Of Arrests, Convictions And Other Activities

Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 17, 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period April 14-16, 2018.

ARRESTS AND BAIL:

Arrested: Tyrese Eddy of Buckley’s Site, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of House Break-in with Intent that was committed on April 06, 2018.

Arrested: Andrew Herbert of Irish Town was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Building Break-in and Larceny committed on April 08, 2018 at the Pelican Mall.

Arrested/Bailed: Akim Roberts of Irish Town was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $7,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on May 14, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Shanique Pemberton of Conaree Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Driving Without Insurance. She was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for her appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on May 10, 2018.

Bailed:  Ishmael James of Mansion Village, who was charged for the offence of Larceny which was committed on April 10, 2018, was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on May 14, 2018.

Bailed: Glenville Boddie of Rawlins Village, Gingerland, who was charged for the offence of Carrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon, was granted bail in the sum of $2,000 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on April 19, 2018.

COURT CONVICTIONS:

In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, presided over by His Honour Reynold Benjamin, the following was reported:

Leon Mc Sheen of Keys Village was cautioned and fined $1,000 to be paid in one (1) month or, if in default, serve eight (8) weeks imprisonment for the offence of Careless Driving.

OTHER ACTIVITIES: 

Abandoned Properties Searched: Police continued to execute searches on properties.  Most recently they were done in the areas of New Road, Conaree and Wellington Road.

Search Warrants Executed: Police executed several search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Mad House Alley, Dorsett Village, Saddlers, Cotton Ground, Pinney’s Road, Church Ground, McKnight, Lower Thibou Avenue and Fig Tree.
