Sixth Annual Easter Swim Camp Concludes Successfully

The sixth annual Easter Swim Camp, hosted by the Swim to Win Association, concluded on Friday, April 17, at Yachtsman’s Beach.

The camp culminated in a brief closing ceremony chaired by Chief Coordinator Terri Andrews, who expressed gratitude to the event’s main sponsor, the Four Seasons Homeowners Foundation, for its continued support. She noted that the foundation’s contribution ensured that children were able to participate in the programme free of charge and received daily snacks.

Acknowledgement was also extended to key stakeholders, including the Nevis Island Administration, through its Department of Sports.

Representing the department, Kerisha Powell highlighted the importance of the initiative, noting that sports officers remain committed to the holistic development of young people. She emphasised that swimming provides a valuable avenue for building well-rounded individuals.

Meanwhile, Tonya Lowe reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to supporting the programme in the years ahead and commended the participants for their progress over the four-day camp.

The event concluded with the presentation of certificates to participants. Volunteer coaches also praised the significant improvement demonstrated by the young swimmers throughout the camp.
