St. Kitts and Nevis Makes History with Election to UNEA-8 Vice Presidency

St. Kitts and Nevis has achieved a historic milestone, being elected Vice President of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-8)—the world’s highest environmental decision-making body.

Dr Joyelle Clarke, Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment, Climate Action and Constituency Empowerment, will serve in this critical global role alongside Jamaica’s Minister Matthew Samuda, President of UNEA-8.

This is a proud moment for the Federation and a powerful step forward in advancing climate action and sustainable development on the global stage.
