St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee Unveils Events for Olympic Day Run/Walk 2026 Event

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – The St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee has announced that Saturday, June 20, 2026, will be observed as Olympic Day Run/Walk 2026, under the global theme “Let’s Move.”

“Whether you’re an elite athlete, a fitness enthusiast, a member of a sports club, or simply looking for a fun day out with family and friends, this event is for you,” the Olympic Committee stated.

Calling on the nation to unite in the spirit of sport and wellness, the Committee is encouraging everyone to join in celebrating health, friendship, and community through a series of exciting activities.

The festivities will begin with the Olympic Day Health Run, which starts at 3:00 p.m. from the Alphonso Bridgewater Olympic House.

Participants will follow the route along Wellington Road, West Independence Square Street, Bank Street, Fort Street, and Victoria Road, before finishing at Warner Park. Walkers are also warmly encouraged to take part and enjoy the route at their own pace.

The celebration will continue immediately afterward at Warner Park with an Old School Fun Day, featuring a nostalgic lineup of classic games and activities designed to capture the joy and excitement of the Olympic spirit.

Participants can look forward to friendly competition in games such as:

Hand Tennis
Sack Race
Lime and Spoon Race
And many more traditional favourites.

Adding to the festive atmosphere will be live music from a DJ, along with refreshments for all attendees.

The Olympic Committee has extended an open invitation to individuals, sports clubs, national federations, schools, and community groups to participate.

Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic attire, while clubs and organisations are invited to showcase their identity by wearing branded apparel.

Water and light snacks will be provided, and pre-registration is strongly encouraged to help secure participation spots and event gear.

The Committee is urging the public to come out in large numbers and embrace the Olympic spirit.
