Swimming : Federation Swim Team Departs for OECS Championships in St. Vincent

The Federation’s swim team departed for St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Thursday, November 6th, to compete in the 2025 OECS Swimming Championships.

The Nevis contingent was seen off at the Oualie Pier by Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Sports, Mr. Jamir Claxton, while the full team received encouragement and best wishes from Federal Minister of Sports, Hon. Samal Duggins, at the RLB International Airport.

The 2025 OECS Swimming Championships will be held from November 7–9 in St. Vincent. The annual event unites top swimmers from across the Eastern Caribbean for a weekend of elite regional competition. For many athletes, it serves as a crucial stepping stone toward higher levels of international representation.

The St. Kitts and Nevis Aquatic Federation (SKNAF) expressed appreciation to the swimmers’ coaches, clubs, and families for their continued support. They extended their gratitude to the Montpelier Hotel and the St. Kitts Royal Hotel for their generous assistance.
