Team Nevis Celebrated Following Inter-Primary Championship Victory

CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS, May — The Education and Sports Departments on Nevis hosted a fun day and motorcade celebration on Friday, May 8, in honour of Team Nevis, champions of the recently concluded Inter-Island Inter-Primary Championship between primary schools on St. Kitts and Nevis.

The main activities were held at the Villa Grounds in Charlestown, where the young athletes participated in a variety of recreational games, including football and cricket, and also enjoyed a bouncing castle.

Following the fun-filled activities, the children took part in a celebratory motorcade which travelled from the Villa Grounds through downtown Charlestown before returning to the venue.

The motorcade featured a Police outrider, music provided by DJ Woodis, three school buses transporting the athletes, education officials, parents, and family members, along with a Police vehicle bringing up the rear.

Upon returning to the Villa Grounds, the children were treated to a selection of delicious snacks as part of the celebration.

The event highlighted the pride and excitement surrounding Team Nevis’ outstanding achievement and provided an opportunity for the community to celebrate the students’ success in athletics and sportsmanship.
