Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 14, 2016 (RSCNPF): Two officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force are currently in Taiwan attending the 142nd National Development Course (NDC) organised by the National Defense University’s Fu Hsing Kang (FHK) College in the Republic of China (Taiwan).
Attending the course are Police Superintendent Terrance James and Inspector Dianna Mills.
The National Development Course is designed to familiarize senior level managers from diplomatic partnering countries on the political, economical, educational, cultural and social development of the Republic of China (Taiwan). This class will discuss topics on issues such as the Adaptation of Policy on the impact of Climate Change, an overview of the social safety networks in Taiwan, Educational Development, Economic Security and the Current and Future Development of International Cooperation in (ROC) Taiwan.
Commenting on the participation of himself and Inspector Mills, Superintendent James said, “We are both grateful to be able to visit the Republic of China (Taiwan) and as members of the leadership of the Police Service having a better understanding of our diplomatic partners is a benefit to us.” He added, “this is further testimony that there is a strong diplomatic relationship between our two Governments.”
Superintendent James and Inspector Mills joins a cadre of St. Kitts and Nevis civil servants and Law Enforcement officials who have had the opportunity to be gain a better understanding of the Republic of China (Taiwan) through participation in this course and other similar courses.
