On the evening of Saturday 8th December, the Youth and Sports Department commenced a Football tournament, geared towards keeping the game alive on the island.
The registered teams were placed into two groups as follows:
Group A: Hard times; Stoney Grove Strikers; Youths of the Future and Highlights Int
Group B: Bath United; Cotton Ground Pioneers; Villa United and 767 Boys.
Unfortunately, the Highlights Int team, has since pulled out of the competition.
In game one, played on Saturday night, the Dominica based team, 767 Boys, defeated Villa United 2 goals to nil.
In game two played on Sunday 9th December, Cotton Ground and Bath United were forced to settle for a hard fought draw, with the final score being nil-all, at the final whistle.
