POLICE PRESS RELEASE 13122016 REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES‏

Basseterre, St. Kitts, December, 12 2016, (RSCNPF):  Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period December 7th – 9th2016.

 ARREST AND BAIL:

Arrested: Chino Evans of Fig Tree was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of shooting at with intent, he was also informed that he will be reported for the offence of Assault with Firearm and Battery

 Arrested: Kevon Chapman of Prospect Estate was arrested, formally charged and cautioned offences of Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply and Possession of Cannabis.

 Arrested: Sylvester Hodge was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of escaping lawful custody at Her Majesty Prison. Offence committed between 6th and 7th December 2016.

 Arrested: Rajhon Ferdiand of Lower Monkey Hill was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of simple wounding Committed on December 5th 2016

 Arrested: Lezmore Whattley of Upper College Street was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Being Vending in a prescribe area without appropriate license and Carrying abroad an offensive weapon, to wit a knife. Bailed: Lezmore Wattley was granted bail in the sum of $5700.00 for his appearance at the  Basseterre Magistrate court on Monday 9th January 2017.

 Arrested: A juvenile of Buckleys (15 years) was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Larceny from unattended vehicle. The juvenile was granted in the sum of $2000.00 for an appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court at an upcoming date

 OTHER ACTIVITY:

Search Warrant Executed: Police conducted a number of search warrants over the period of this report. The Warrants were executed in the following area: Prospect Estate and Fig Tree, Sandy Point

 Traffic Accident: There were eight (8) Accidents on the federation’s roadways 5 in St. Kitts and  3 in Nevis during the period of this report

 Citizen Safety: Police continue to conduct stop and searches, vehicular check points, searches of ferry terminals and marinas and mobile patrols around the Federation.  These are being done in efforts to remove illegal firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs and instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities
