Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 12, 2016 (RSCNPF): The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) is currently investigating the fatal shooting of Mark Williams, a 39 year old male resident of Cherry Gardens. The incident occurred in Rawlins Village, Nevis, at around 7.47pm on Friday (March 11). Williams is originally from St. Kitts.
Initial investigations revealed that the victim was shot several times about the body by a lone masked gunman. He was transported to the Alexandra Hospital where he died.
Investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit and the Criminal Investigations Department and technicians from the Forensics Services Unit have canvassed the scene for evidence.
An appeal is made to the public that if they were in the area last night and may have seen or heard anything unusual to report it to the Police. What you may have seen or heard, can be critical in this investigation. To do so, members of the public can call any Police Station or “Crime Stoppers” the anonymous hotline at 1-800-8477 (TIPS).
