Casting Call in Nevis! Nevis Film Commission Partners on Sloan Foundation-Supported Short Film

The Nevis Film Commission is pleased to share an exciting casting call opportunity for an upcoming romantic short film to be filmed in Charlestown, Nevis. This production has received valued support from the Sloan Foundation, which recognises and funds projects that advance public understanding of science.

The film tells a compelling and heartfelt story centred on aphasia recovery, set against the vibrant and culturally rich backdrop of Nevis’ Culturama celebrations. It presents a meaningful opportunity to showcase local talent while contributing to an impactful narrative that bridges art and science.
This project also fulfils the MFA thesis requirement for Mr Louric Rankine, a filmmaker of Nevisian heritage who is completing the Creative Producing program in film at Columbia University. He is also set to attend the Cannes Film Festival next month.

The film will be directed by Ms Tamika Guishard, of Kittitian and Nevisian heritage, an alumna of New York University’s Graduate Film Writer/Director Program.

Interested individuals who wish to participate or obtain further details are kindly invited to direct all inquiries to the production team at http://lqr2101@columbia.edu.

The Nevis Film Commission is delighted to be a partner on this production, as it provides an opportunity for authentic storytelling while promoting SKN diaspora talent within the creative industry.
