Combermere Reunion Promises Much Excitement

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)–A number of Nevisians that are residing overseas, are expected to travel to Nevis during this coming week for a much anticipated Combermere reunion.

One of the organizers, Ras ‘Iroy’ Pinney, stated on Monday that the focus will be on individuals who attended the famous Combermere School, St. James Parish, Nevis.

The former institution produced many outstanding sons and daughters of Nevis in a wide range of meaningful professions.

The premises of the old school will be turned into what will be referred to as the ‘Reunion Village’ and the activities will be centralized around this spot.

However, certain activities will take place at other venues across the island.

The full slates of activities are as follows:

Saturday, July 18 at 7:00 p.m.
Welcome reception and opening of the Reunion Village

Sunday July 19
Special Church service at the Combermere Methodist Church at 4.00 pm
Gospel Singspiration at 8.00 pm

Monday, July 20 at 9:00 a.m.
March from the Combermere Methodist Church to the Reunion Village (The Old Combermere School Grounds)

Tuesday, July 21
Health Fair at the Reunion Village from 7.00 am to 10.00 am (Breakfast will be available after the check-up
A night with the Travelers Singing Ministry from New York at the NEPAC Building – at 8.00 pm

Wednesday, July 22
Beachnic at Herbert Beach from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm
The Good Old Days night at the Reunion Village from 8.00 pm

Thursday, July 23
Fun Day at the Old Combermere School Grounds from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm
Dance at the Reunion Village from 8.00 pm

Friday, July 24
One Day Boat Trip to Montserrat leaving Nevis at 6.00 am
Talent Show at the Reunion Village at 8.00 pm

Saturday, July 25
Domino Competition and other games at the Reunion Village from 12.00 noon
Banquet and Awards Presentation at Occasions Banquet hall at 6.00 pm

Sunday, July 26
Concert at the NEPAC Hall at 6.00 pm
Official closing of the Reunion Village at 10.00 pm
