BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — Jhonny Silvestre of Pitcairn Street, Newtown, St. Kitts, has been formally charged with the offence of Simple Wounding.
The offence was allegedly committed on May 10, 2026. Mr. Silvestre was subsequently charged on May 14, 2026, at the Basseterre Police Station.
Given that Mr. Silvestre is a Spanish speaker, the charging process was conducted with the assistance of a Government-certified Spanish translator to ensure that all proceedings were properly communicated and understood.
The matter is expected to proceed before the courts.
