LIMCA President Going Full Speed Ahead

The Leeward Islands Master Cricket Association President, Anthony Rawlins, is going full speed ahead in keeping the commitments he made on taking up the leadership reins of the prestigious senior cricketers grouping.

Earlier this week, Rawlins released to the various Masters’ territories, what he has termed a MONTHLY COMMUNIQUE, which is his way of keeping the various territories updated as regards relevant information pertaining to Masters’ Cricket and the upcoming tournament in 2020.

The first communique is very informative and contains a copy of the Leeward Islands Masters Association’s constitution and playing guidelines. He also noted that he is awaiting a response from Montserrat, as to whether or not that territory will accept an invitation to participate in the 2020 tournament.

The updates for the next few months will include the following:

September—Financial report for 2019

October-Update from St. Kitts on the progress of 2020 tournament

November-President to visit St. Maarten and seeking to link up with executive via SKYPE

December –Hotel accommodations for teams must be finalized and hoping to have confirmation from Montserrat.

Rawlins also noted that his two cricketing advisors are also working overtime on specific issues:

Stuart Williams is seeking to arrange to get a Leewards Masters team to participate in the Barbados Masters’ T-20 tournament.

Hamish Anthony is seeking to make the Leewards tournament the number one such tournament in the Caribbean and is working on various sponsorship deals.

Rawlins thanked all for their assistance this far.
