Man shot dead in Cayon-Builder’s Paradise supervisor charged with attempted murder

(BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS) – Police in St. Kitts are investigating the death of a male resident who was shot to death last night Tuesday, March 26, 2013.

According to a press release by the Press and Public Relation Officer, Inspector Lyndon David stated that on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at or about 9:26 p.m. Cayon Police responded to a shooting incident where Miguel Byron of Back Street, Cayon was found lying on the side of the road with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his body.

He was pronounced dead by the medical examiner. The decedent’s next of kin was notified.

Nevispages understands that the deceased who was 32 years old, who was walking home from the nearby Maynard Court when he was shot.

Also in other crime news, Darren ‘Dabo’ Hendrickson of Harbour View, Bird Rock, St. Kitts was formally arrested and charged for the offence of attempted murder which was committed on Saturday, March 23, 2013.

This charged stemmed from an altercation between an employee and Hendrickson, the supervisor on the premises of Builders Paradise. It is alleged that during the altercation, Hendrickson drew his licensed service pistol and shot the Guyanese employee in the side of his face.

The employee remains hospitalized.
