National Intervention Team Commended for Successful Completion of Specialised Training

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force proudly congratulates members of the National Intervention Team (NIT) on the successful completion of specialised training hosted by the Ministry of Social Development and Gender Affairs in collaboration with Brandy Williams Ltd. of the United Kingdom.

The training focused on several critical areas, including:

✔ Principles of Social Work
✔ Youth Safeguarding
✔ Exploring Youth Justice

These areas are essential to strengthening the Federation’s approach to child protection, youth engagement, and early intervention initiatives.

Throughout the sessions, participating officers demonstrated a strong commitment to professional growth, continuous learning, and community-focused service. The training incorporated practical and relatable scenarios reflecting real-life challenges faced by vulnerable children, young people, and families, equipping officers with deeper insight and enhanced response capabilities.

This initiative represents far more than training alone. It reflects a broader commitment to building a stronger, more coordinated, and responsive support system for the nation’s youth through collaboration, accountability, and ongoing capacity building.

The RSCNPF commends the National Intervention Team for embracing development opportunities and for continuing to play a meaningful role in creating safer spaces, strengthening positive interventions, and supporting the well-being of children and families across the Federation.

Investing in people remains one of the greatest investments any nation can make.
