Andia Ravariere, CEO of Nevis Tourism Authority, highlighted during the CHTA Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2026 the destination’s strategy to position itself as a differentiated alternative in the Caribbean, with a focus on nature, history, tranquility and niche tourism

What are Nevis’s main goals for 2026?

Our main objective is to achieve greater international visibility and clearly differentiate ourselves within the Saint Kitts and Nevis federation. Many people know Saint Kitts, but Nevis remains a hidden gem.

While Saint Kitts is known for being a vibrant and dynamic destination, Nevis offers a much quieter, more relaxed, and authentic experience. We want more people to discover the island’s unique essence.

We are working to position ourselves as a luxury boutique destination, focused primarily on niche segments, although not exclusively limiting ourselves to high-end tourism.

What type of visitor is Nevis trying to attract?

While our strategy is focused on the luxury and boutique luxury segment, we also have a very solid mid-range offering.

We have properties that are perfectly suited to travellers looking for more affordable experiences, including visitors interested in activities such as diving or active tourism.

Therefore, we seek to convey that Nevis can welcome different types of tourists, always maintaining an authentic and personalised experience.

Connectivity is often one of the biggest challenges in the Caribbean. How is Nevis addressing this?

Connectivity is a regional challenge, but we believe that when people understand how to get to Nevis, they discover that it is a much simpler process than they imagine.

One of the main access routes is through Princess Juliana International Airport, which receives flights from international airlines such as Air France, KLM, Delta Air Lines and JetBlue.

From there, the regional airline Winair connects daily to Nevis with flights under 30 minutes and also has interline agreements with several international carriers, simplifying the booking and check-in process. Another option is to fly into Saint Kitts, with flights operated by British Airways, JetBlue, and American Airlines.

From there, visitors can take a scenic 15-minute drive to Reggae Beach and then a short six-minute ferry ride to Nevis. The arrival is part of the experience. The journey is scenic and relaxing, allowing you to connect with the spirit of the Caribbean from the very first moment.

What kind of experiences set Nevis apart from the Caribbean?

Nevis offers a diverse combination of nature, adventure, history, and local life. We have spectacular beaches, rainforest, hiking, ATV tours, and hot springs with therapeutic mineral properties.

We also have a very important historical heritage. For example, the island is the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton, a key figure in the creation of the American financial system. There is even a themed tour that allows visitors to explore various historical sites linked to his life and the cultural evolution of the island.

In addition, Nevis has a very active nightlife, especially in the beach areas, where visitors can explore different beach bars, restaurants and gastronomic spaces facing the sea.

The island offers activities both day and night and maintains an authentic essence that continues to surprise those who discover it for the first time.
