VPL Finals Set For Sunday 17th June

Chief Coordinator of the Village Premier League (VPL), Michael WISE Herbert has indicated that the popular annual cricket league will climax on Sunday 17th June instead of this coming Sunday 10th June as previously advertised.

Herbert noted that the funeral service of the late cultural icon, David Freeman, will be held this coming Saturday, 9th June, at the Hard times playing field, the same venue as the VPL and because of the numerous tents and other equipment that will be utilized, it was pointed out that the grounds would definitely not be ready for the following day.

Therefore, the grand finals between defending champions, BEATERS and YOUNG WARRIORS, will now take place on Sunday 17th June.

Prior to that match, Hanley’s Road is expected to engage Bushwhackers for the third place play off, at 1 pm.
