Guyana wicketkeeper-batsman Tevin Imlach has been appointed captain of the West Indies Select XI for the upcoming four-day warm-up match against Sri Lanka, scheduled for June 18-21 at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua.
Imlach will lead a 13-man squad that boasts a blend of youth and experience as players seek to impress ahead of the two-match Test series between the West Indies and Sri Lanka.
Guyana will be strongly represented in the fixture, with Imlach joined by fellow Guyanese Kemol Savoury, Nial Smith and Keemo Paul. The quartet will be eager to make a significant impact as they stake their claims for future opportunities at the highest level.
