Basseterre, St. Kitts — Shermain Paul has been convicted of two counts of larceny following proceedings at the Basseterre Magistrate’s Court.
On June 30, 2026, Ms Paul appeared before Her Honour Ms Rhonda Nisbett Browne and pleaded guilty to both charges of larceny committed on September 13, 2025.
Upon her guilty plea, the Court imposed the following penalties:
Compensation of EC$450.00 to RAMS to be paid within fourteen (14) days, or, in default, one (1) month’s imprisonment.
A fine of EC$1,000.00 for the larceny of EC$250.00, to be paid within two (2) months, or in default, one (1) month imprisonment.
A fine of EC$1,000.00 for the larceny of EC$200.00, to be paid within three (3) months, or in default, one (1) month imprisonment.
The charges for receiving were dismissed.
