On July 3, 2026, in an atmosphere of pride and anticipation, St. James’ Primary School celebrated the graduation of its Class of 2026 under the theme, “Going Places: Moving Beyond Expectations.” The ceremony’s esteemed patron was Ms Florencia Clarke.
Serving as Chairperson, Mrs Rhosyll Milnes-Gaskell warmly welcomed everyone to the ceremony. She congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments and encouraged them to remain confident in their abilities as they continue to move beyond expectations.
In an engaging and reflective report, Principal Catherine Seabrookes-Wilkinson highlighted the school’s achievements and progress, while also recognising the personal growth, accomplishments, and contributions of the graduating class to school life. She expressed heartfelt appreciation to the parents, teachers, and support staff whose dedication and commitment helped guide the students to this important milestone.
Delivering greetings on behalf of the Department of Education, Education Officer Ms Shenelle Pemberton commended the graduates for their hard work, determination, and resilience. She encouraged them to face every challenge with confidence and to continue moving beyond expectations as they transition to secondary school.
In a thought-provoking feature address, Ms Janesha Daniel reminded the graduates that success is not determined by circumstances but by perseverance, resilience, and the willingness to rise after setbacks. She encouraged them to keep learning, adapting, growing, and striving to exceed the expectations placed before them.
Valedictorian Ariella Phillip reflected on the experiences, friendships, and lessons that shaped the primary school journey of the Class of 2026. She encouraged her fellow graduates to embrace the opportunities ahead with confidence and determination.
Salutatorian Glen Hensley was recognised for his outstanding academic achievement and inspiring journey. After transitioning from the Cecile Browne Integrated School to St. James’ Primary School, he earned the distinction of Salutatorian. Glen’s success served as a powerful example of the graduation theme, “Going Places: Moving Beyond Expectations.”
