Trinbago Knight Riders Grab St. Kitts’ Jahzara for the 2026 Women’s Caribbean Premier League

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS — St. Kitts and Nevis cricketer Jahzara Claxton continues her rapid rise in women’s cricket, marking another significant milestone in her emerging international career.

Following her recent selection to the West Indies Women’s team, Claxton has now been drafted by the Trinbago Knight Riders for the upcoming 2026 Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL), further underlining her growing reputation in the regional game.

The 2026 WCPL will be staged from September 5 to September 15 at Kensington Oval in Barbados, with all eight matches scheduled to be played at the historic venue.

This year’s tournament also marks a major expansion, increasing to four teams with the introduction of the Jamaica Empress. They join the established franchises of the Guyana Amazon Warriors, Barbados Royals, and Trinbago Knight Riders, signalling continued growth and investment in women’s franchise cricket across the Caribbean.
