National Carnival Queen Contestants Selected

After a one month registration period, where over ten optimistic candidates applied, the National Carnival Queen Committee is excited to announce that it has selected six lucky young ladies to vie for this year’s crown.
The hopefuls were asked to submit an application, which included an essay explaining why they were desirous of participating, in addition to photos showcasing their beauty and physique. The ladies were then summoned to interview and fitness consultations to determine their suitability for the pageant and its ambassadorial prospects. After two rounds the top six were selected and informed of their acceptance.
Pageant Chairperson Violet Williams was beaming with pride, citing “There has been a record number of applications this year and we are definitely pleased at the level of enthusiasm. We are confident that we have selected an amazing group of women and we are excited about what’s to come”.
Over the course of the next few weeks the young ladies will undergo a series of training and development sessions leading up to their release date which would be at the end of October. Over the years the National Carnival Pageant has been the stepping stone for The Federation’s women to promote themselves and worthy causes and this year promises to be one of the biggest and best showcases of the show.
