BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – Kajary “Rebel” Henry of Hermitage Village, Cayon, has been sentenced to 13 years’ imprisonment after pleading guilty to the offence of Wounding with Intent to Murder.

The offence was committed on May 14, 2024. Henry entered a guilty plea on May 22, 2026.

On July 24, 2026, His Lordship Justice Patrick Thompson Jr. sentenced Henry to serve 13 years at His Majesty’s Prison during proceedings at the High Court in Basseterre.

In addition to the custodial sentence, the court ordered Henry to:

Enrol in four Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC/CXC) subjects while serving his sentence; and
Pay EC$6,500 in compensation within 12 months of his release from prison.

The sentence reflects the seriousness with which the courts continue to treat violent offences and underscores the importance of accountability and rehabilitation within the criminal justice system.
