Oualie Men’s Health has officially become a recognised referral pathway for men seeking mental health support in Nevis, marking a significant step forward in addressing men’s wellness across the island.
The announcement was made by Laura W., who credited the achievement to the continued dedication and support of the organisation’s volunteer core team.
The new partnership, established in collaboration with the Department of Gender Affairs, Nevis and the Nevis Island Administration, represents a timely and important response to community-identified needs for enhanced mental health services for men within the Federation.
The initiative is expected to strengthen access to structured support systems and promote greater awareness around men’s mental health challenges, an area that has increasingly gained attention across the Caribbean.
Looking ahead, the Oualie Men’s Health team has expressed optimism for a productive 2026 as they continue expanding their impact. The organisation is also inviting individuals to join its volunteer core, particularly in administrative support and content development, to further advance Caribbean mental health initiatives. Familiarity with Caribbean culture is considered essential for prospective volunteers.
