On the evening of Friday, May 16, 2025, a Vehicular Checkpoint (VCP) was conducted on Wellington Road near the PWD Gas Station. The operation, led by Superintendent Bradshaw, Sergeant Henry, and officers from the Traffic Department, resulted in the issuance of sixty-two (62) traffic tickets for various infractions between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
The recorded offences during the operation were as follows:
– Exceeding the Speed Limit: 40 tickets
– Driving at Night with One Lighted Headlamp: 12 tickets
– Driving with Unauthorized Lights: 4 tickets
– Identification Mark Not Conforming to Regulations: 1 ticket
– Passenger Not Wearing a Seatbelt: 1 ticket
– Driving Without a Seatbelt: 1 ticket
– Driving an Unlicensed Vehicle: 1 ticket
– Driving Without a Lighted Headlamp: 1 ticket
– Using a Defective Tyre Showing Thread: 1 ticket
