The Pennyless All Stars team out of Nevis, won their first encounter in the Keith Arthurton/Nagico T-20 league last weekend. They came up against Young Guns who batted first and scored 132 for 7 in their 20 overs.
Owais Khan top scored with 60 and Kacey Carty scored 25.
For the All-stars team, Rakeem Cornwall had the amazing figures of 5 wickets for 5 runs from his four overs; Junie Williams 2 for 18 and Quinton Boatswain 2 for 32
The All-stars team cruised to 130 for 2 from just 12.3 overs. Rakeem Cornwall scored a blistering 48 not out and Tonito Willet was also aggressive, with his 38 not out. Jamie Cornelius scored 26.
For Young Guns, Owais Khan got 1 for 26 and Andrew Simmonds 1 for 39.
Pennyless All-stars won by 8 wickets.
Meanwhile the scheduled match between Empire Cricket club and Sandy Point, was not played due to inclement weather.
In another match, the Len Harris Cricket Academy won over the Cayon/Molineux team. LHCA scored 163 for 5 in 20 overs with Darren Hobson top scoring with 74 and Cayon/Molineux could only muster 139 for 7 in response.
LHCA won by 25 runs
