Gingerland Secondary School Graduation and Prize Giving Ceremony 2016

(CHARLESTOWN NEVIS)-On the morning of Tuesday, November 22, 2016 the Gingerland Secondary School conducted its annual graduation and prize giving ceremony at the Gingerland Methodist Church.

Under its Theme “Unlocking opportunities with gratitude and commitment to service” the school bid farewell to a number of students.

The ceremony began with the Invocation by Mr. Joseph Morton. This was followed by the National Anthem by Mr. Rohan Jeffers.

Chairperson of the ceremony, Mr. Chesley Manners who is a former teacher, delivered the opening remarks.

The Principal’s report was delivered by Mrs. Lorna Brandy.

Premier of Nevis, Hon Vance Amory, also gave some brief remarks.

Former Principal of the school, Mr. Keith Glasgow, gave the feature address.

The CSEC Valedictory Speech was given by Rol-J Williams. Williams sat 17 subjects and attained 17 distinctions and in the process making him the top student in St. Kitts and Nevis. It was also the first time that a student wrote that many subjects.

Songs were done by the Choir and the graduating class.

The vote of thanks was given by Miss Pheona Mckenzie
