AYISHA GEORGE

On a hot Carnival Sunday night in Trinidad and Tobago, on February 9th 1997 while everyone was enjoying the Calypso and Queen show finals, a precious gem entered this world. Ayisha Raenella George was born to Maria George and Marlon Lee, a true gem and the delight of the entire family.

Ayisha attended the VOJN primary school where she was very active in all the school’s activities. She was a member of the School choir, the Dance group and the Stringband. She was also a member of the combined schools masquerade group. In September 2009 Ayisha began her Secondary School education at the Gingerland Secondary School where she is presently a form four student.

She is an adventurous person and this love for adventure led her to become a member of the Nevis Cadet Corps. She loves music and in her spare time she can be found listening to music on her phone or computer. She has participated in various sporting activities such as swimming, tennis and golf through Summer and Easter Camps.

Her dream is to travel to Trinidad on her completion of high school to pursue a Degree in Music. After completion of her studies she plans to return to Nevis to become a Music Teacher. Ayisha feels that through music she can relate to other young persons as music is the universal language of love and would keep young persons from anti-social behaviour. She would also like to see in the not too distant future professional musicians from Nevis as the headline acts for Music festivals through-out the world.
