The annual West Indies women’s cricket championship, bowls off in Guyana this weekend.
The teams arrived in the host country on Thursday 14th March.
The teams will have the privilege to rest and engage in practice sessions, later today-Friday 15th March.
This evening, a pre championship meeting will be held at the Regency Hotel
Saturday 16th March, will see the teams getting some well needed rest and practice sessions and they will attend the grand opening ceremony at 6 pm.
The first round of matches will commence on Sunday 16th March as follows:
Trinidad and Tobago v Guyana at the National Stadium
Leewards v Barbados at Everest
Windwards v Jamaica at the GCC
Nevis has three representatives in the Leeward’s team: Saneldo Willet, the vice-captain; Rozel Liburd and Melissa Clarke
