The Cricket fraternity in St. Kitts and Nevis, is mourning the loss of one of its cricketing stalwarts.
Former Kittitian and Leeward Islands fast bowler, James ‘Heads’ Harris, recently passed away at age 65.
James Harris was born in St. Kitts, on March 13th 1954 and passed away on March 12th 2019.
He played 19 first class matches, having made his debut versus the Windward Islands, in 1978/79.
As a right arm medium fast bowler for the Leeward Islands, he collected 38 wickets, with his best bowling figures being 5 for 52.
As regards his batting, he scored 179 runs and played 10 list A matches, for the Leewards.
His son, Andy Davis, captained the Leewards under 19 team in 1994.
The Leeward Islands Cricket Board and its directors have extended condolences to the family of the former fast bowler.
