Female VPL League Set To Commence This Coming Sunday

After several hiccups and false starts, chief Coordinator of activities at the Hard Times playing field, Michael WISE Herbert, is indicating that the female version of the Village Premier League (VPL), is all set to bowl off this coming Sunday -30th June.
Herbert and his hard working organizing committee are expecting about six teams to participate.
There are several persons who are coordinating the teams and interested female cricketers can contact them as follows:
Ted Brandy Security-Butlers and Brick Kiln
Myrthlyn Elliot-Rawlins/Gingerland
Catherine Joseph
Senaldo Willet
Rozel Liburd
Judy Morton
The top three teams will receive prizes as follows:
1st place -$500.00-sponsored by Hon. Eric Evelyn
2nd place- $300.00-sponsored by Nevis Spring Water
3rd place-$200.00-Sponsored by Clive Evelyn Construction.
Teams will register free of cost.
Other sponsors will sponsor such achievements as player of the match; bowler with the most wickets; bats woman with the most runs and spectators catching a ball hit over the boundary, with one hand, will make an easy $100.00.
There will be musical entertainment by well-known DJ-DJ Paper and Herbert is inviting one and all, to come out and see the ladies in action.
