The St. Kitts –Nevis representative Archery team, which participated in a recent developmental tournament in the Dominican Republic, returned home safely, earlier in the week.
The team members were elated to give a good report, at the range in Bath village.
The team secured no fewer than 9 medals during the tournament, by far their best showing thus far.
Team leaders Dane Sandiford and Pam Barry indicated that there were six competing countries, with over 100 archers.
They were well accommodated at an athletes’ village, which effectively is a huge hotel complex, used to house, all types of athletes.
They indicated that they were well taken care of.
The athletes shot over distances of 15 meters; 30 meters and 50 meters.

The Archers all expressed gratitude to all the entities and individuals, who helped to make their trip possible.
They indicated that it was also a learning experience and indicated that their skills have been sharpened in the process.
Pam Barry also took time out to thank all of the contributors to their trip and used the opportunity to urge more persons to come on board and join the Archery club.
