Local cricket fans are brimming with excitement as they gear up for the opening clash of the 2025 Caribbean Premier League season.
The action bowls off tonight — Thursday, August 14 — at 7:00 p.m. at Warner Park, where the SKN Patriots will face the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons in what promises to be a thrilling and hard-fought battle.
Boatloads of supporters from Nevis are expected, with Islander Water Sports offering special services from Oualie Beach, and the MV Mark Twain operating from the Charlestown Pier. Passengers travelling from Oualie can ride free of charge, courtesy of the CPL team, by simply presenting their match tickets at departure. These complimentary runs begin at 6:00 p.m. The MV Mark Twain will depart at 4:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., with fares at the regular rate.
Even as Tropical Storm Erin approaches the region, many fans are ready to swap worries about “flying roofs” for the thrill of seeing cricket balls soar into the stands.
